The Delphi XM Signal Repeater allows you to enjoy XM programming even in interior environments without direct satellite reception (e.g., away from a window with a clear view of the sky). The compact transmitter works with any Delphi XM home kit or audio system, rebroadcasting more than 150 XM Satellite Radio channels of sports, talk, news, comedy, 100 percent commercial-free music, and more. The Signal Repeater can transmit the XM signal to one or more Repeater Antennas, placed up to 75 feet away, even through walls and floors.

This unit works as it is advertised. I get perfect reception on all channels. I have used this unit for over a year with outstanding results. The transmitter is located in a pool cabana and the receivers are in the home some 50-80' away. No fading or loss of signal.
I highly recommend that you don't throw away your receipt if you but one of these units. Still didn't help. I intended to put the antenna in one room and the radio in another. I tried all of the positions on the switch on the back of the transmitter unit. I received it back and it still has the same problem. The transmitter and receiver are in teh same room no more than 12 feet apart in direct line of sight with each other and the signal still fades. When I first connected everything, all of the components were in the same room. I tried moving the antenna but nothing changed.
I called Delphi support who told me to send the unit back. If I hook the antenna directly to the radio it works great. I received this as a Christmas gift. The signal faded in and out. I did.
What else do you need to know. Clean and functional. Works perfect. I live in a forest and this allowed me to place the antenna in any window in the house to find reception and as a bonus, there are no wires (except to an outlet).
